USS BUNKER HILL (CG-52) Public Tours June 24th Pier 17 San Francisco?
- Has any Navy Leaguer been aboard the USS BUNKER HILL (CG-52), http://www.public.navy.mil/surfor/cg52/Pages/default.aspx, since she made a San Francisco port call earlier this week?Probably in a desire to attempt to keep a low profile, neither the 3rd Fleet, Southwest Naval District, or the ship have not issued a media release even indicating she is docked in San Francisco or that she will receive visitors. For sure a three hour time slot is insufficient to accommodate all who desire to visit aboard. Hopefully San Franciscans have been hospitable to the officers and crew members fortunate to have liberty in the city.Let's hope that the publicity in regards to ship visits during San Francisco Fleet Week are announced. It would be nice if special hours would be designated for Navy Leaguers to visit aboard. In years past access to ships and their crews was an incentive drawing (and retaining) individuals to the Navy League.Phelps____________________________________________________________________________Public Tours will be available June 24 1 PM 4 PM Pier 15/17Pictures of the USS BUNKER HILL ( )More pictures
