      Phelps,

I suspect you know Mike and this is legitimate....

This seems to be a very worthy cause he is supporting and its on point for
      our mission of support.

I am having my police friends with newsletters and such promulgate it to
cops as well for those who might want to support it by donation...

      Don

Members and Friends of Marines’ Memorial:

      WHAT?
We’ve found something to send to the troops in Afghanistan to help them keep
in good physical condition. It’s a suspension trainer called a TRX. You can
read about the TRX at the website for Fitness Anywhere http://www.fitness
anywhere.com/ . (It’s also advertised in the January issue of Leatherneck
Magazine). You’ll see how the troops can use the TRX anywhere in Afghanistan
. They don’t have gyms or barbells to keep fit. If they have the TRX, they
don’t need the gyms. (I have one of my own and find it great to have when I
      travel).

We sent 120 kits in December for the holiday care packages and the feedback
from the Marines, sailors and soldiers who have been able to use the TRX has
been terrific. (See the attached email to read a trail of emails about the
      TRX).

Now, we want to send more kits and we need your help.

      HOW?
You can help by making a tax deductible donation to send a TRX to Marines,
Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen in Afghanistan . The details to make a donation
      are below:

Each TRX costs us $201.50. Shipping and handling is $8.50 per TRX. So, for a
donation of $210, we can ship one TRX to the troops in Afghanistan . We will
include the name of the donor in the box containing the TRX.

To make the donation, you can send us a check made out to the Marines’
Memorial Association for $210 or multiples for more than one TRX. You should
specify in the correspondence that this is a restricted donation, to be used
for a TRX for the Troops. Our address is: 609 Sutter Street , San Francisco
      , CA 94102 .

Alternatively, you can go to our website at www.MarineClub.com, click on the
Donate Now button on the top right of the website, and fill out the form for
a donation. They should click on the button for “Holiday Care Package”, and
they should include in the gift amount $210 or multiples of same. We will
monitor to make sure their donation is used for the TRX.

Every dollar you donate will go directly to the intended purposes. There
are no administrative or overhead costs deducted. The Marines’ Memorial
Association is a 501(c)(19) Veterans organization. The Association complies
fully with the requirements of IRC 170(c)(3), and, since you will receive no
goods or services for your donation, the full amount of your donation is
      deductible.

Thank you for helping to support our Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen!

      s/f
