For those interested in maritime history, these two evening programs look most interesting. The first is a private screening of "The Men Who Sailed the Liberty Ships" 1830 Thursday, May 14. The second is a one man play "The Life and Times of Harry Bridges"  1830 Friday, May 15.

Also at the California Maritime Academy 0830 Saturday, May 2, is the commissioning of the graduating seniors in NROTC and related programs. Afterwards is an opportunity to meet them and their families then attend the presentation of maritime awards. I will be there and encourage interested Navy Leaguers to attend as well. You can depart after the awards ceremony and skip the lunch scheduled for students, parents and relatives and the crowded afternoon commencement.
