Papers and Sessions: The diverse subject matter will include but is not limited to saltwater and freshwater enviornments, archeology, anthropology, arts and sciences, history, and museum exhibits.
Tours: A fifty-minute ferry ride from Vallejo provides access to the San Francisco waterfront, where a walking tour of the Embarcadero is available. There will be a variety of maritime tours available through the National Park Service, in particular the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. Tours of the historic ships berthed at the Hyde Street Pier of the San Francisco Maritime Museum are also possible. Guided tours may be available for the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum; Mare Island Naval Shipyard; Richmond's Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park; and the historic ships SS Jeremiah O'Brien, USS Pampanito, USS Hornet, USS Iowa, and presidential yacht Potomac.
