Saturday, September 6th - Region Meeting until 1430 (2:30 p.m.)
Breakfast 0730 hours (7:30 a.m.)
Meeting 0830 hours (8:30 a.m.)

. Remarks by Region President
. Introduction of current Region elected officers and meeting attendees
. Recognition of Regional members with new responsibilities . Legislative
briefing by Tom Winant
. Council updates by council members
. Presentation of proposed new membership category, Active Duty; NLUS
president Jim Offutt; then question and answer session
. Proposal to initiate Region council awards such as: Council President of
the Year; Membership/Greatest Growth % individual; Community Affiliate of
the Year, Best Newsletter/Website
. Update on the NLUS commissioning of the USS America
. Fleet Week 2014 update
. Coast Guard's incredible relay race team in recognition of the year's
fallen law enforcement personnel (the CG is the only arm of the sea services
that qualifies for this event) - the annual Baker to Vegas run
. Lunch followed by a demonstration by MSST, the Coast Guard swat team, and
their working dogs.
