Our Region Meeting will start with the annual PCR Coast Guard Awards luncheon (Friday noon) on Coast Guard Island, followed by a Welcome Aboard event at 5:00, a Saturday 8:00 a.m. continental breakfast at Alameda Elks Lodge, a good morning program and more.
The annual CG Awards luncheon is so special. You will hear citations about 13 outstanding Coast Guard personnel selected by their commands and awarded by the Navy League for almost 20 years. We are always impressed by the dedication.
Rear Admiral Thomas A. Cropper, USN (ret), new (July 1) President of the California Maritime Academy at Vallejo, will speak to us at Saturdays luncheon.
