Help us Fund San Francisco Fleet Week by Joining us on the 14th of August at the Academy of Art University's Classic Car Museum
- Pacific Merchant Marine Council Members and Friends,Please attend Vin d' Elegance. If the $100 price tag is too steep for you, there is $50 from the council treasury to assist. The council didn't retain a dime from Sunday's Sea Cadet fundraiser and didn't get a dime from the luncheon with the San Francisco Council in June. There remains less that $300 in the council treasury but we have at least $50 for San Francisco Fleetweek.Heave Ho for the Pacific Merchant Marine Council and San Francisco Fleet Week!PhelpsPhelps Hobart, PresidentPacific Merchant Marine CouncilNavy League of the United States___________________________________________----- Original Message -----From: Phelps HobartSent: Wednesday, August 08, 2012 5:49 PMSubject: Help us Fund San Francisco Fleet Week by Joining us on the 14th of August at the Academy of Art University's Classic Car MuseumAhoy Members and Friends,This promises to be a great event. Each year during San Francisco Fleet Week, Bay Area authorities and the Naval Services work together to improve the Bay Areas preparations to cope with the next big catastrophic earthquake. Fleet Week is only possible because of donations to the San Francisco Fleet Week Association. The Association must pay for such things as fuel for the Blue Angels Aircraft; hotel rooms and meals for the pilots and ground crews of the Blue Angels; aircraft arresting gear at Moffitt Field; and usage fees to the Park Service and trash pickup on Marina Green and Crissy Field.
We need your help. Please join us for a fund raiser from 6-9 pm on the 14th of August at the Academy of Art Universitys Classic Car Museum on the corner of Van Ness and Washington Street. Please buy a ticket for $100 (below) and join us for the evening. Youll enjoy the event, as well.
