      Members and Friends,
Upon receipt of funds, the Pacific Merchant Marine Council will establish a scholarship account. Distribution of the funds will be based on the desires of the donors. Criteria would likely include the focus of rigorous academic endeavors toward a merchant marine career. Deserving students on a path to become a USMM commissioned engineering or deck officer would be likely recipients.
If interested in establishing a scholarship in your name or in the memory of a loved one, please contact me. There will be the utmost discretion and fiduciary stewardship.
The council particularly desires to support students at the California Maritime Academy.
