      California Marine & Intermodal Transportation System Advisory Council - CALMITSAC.
       
      The Navy League has a seat at the table. The Chairman, Capt. Bob Dockendorff, USN (Ret.), is a member of the Pacific Merchant Marine Council. Council President Phelps Hobart serves on a committee.
       
      If you would like to attend and observe, simply show up; best to bring your own lunch though food and beverages will be available for purchase. 
       
      The next event is the Maritime Leadership Symposium beginning Monday, May 11 in Sacramento. CALMITSAC's meeting is scheduled Wednesday May 13.
       
      The date, time, and place of the California Maritime Security Council's next meeting has yet to be announced; it may be during the Maritime Leadership Symposium. Navy League members have been involved within this group as well.

CMSC acts as an advisory body to the Governor in matters related to maritime security through the Governor's Office of Homeland Security, http://www.ohs.ca.gov, the cabinet-level state office for the prevention of and preparation for a potential terrorist event. CMSC has a number of committees and regional councils.
