Lou Lozano, Oakland Council President, and Phelps Hobart, Pacific Merchant Marine Council President, after the Oakland Council's fundraiser golf tournament August 27 at the Alameda golf course, www.golfinalameda.com.
Lou and a few members of his council put it together; the Pacific Merchant Marine Council was a hole sponsor. Phelps volunteered for the day - assisting with registration, a special competition on hole #7, and selling drawing tickets.
Phelps drove down from Sacramento for the occasion along with attending the Pacific Central Region USCG District 11 annual awards, and the region meeting. August 28 he drove home but not before having lunch with members of the West Contra Costa Council in Richmond.
