      The following is a community service effort, solely to inform, not influence the Prince George's voting, taxpayer public on issues being considered by the Maryland General Assembly that may specifically apply to Prince George's County issues. You will not find any positions from me, but you can review and share within your network to determine if you or your group may want to.
      Attached, you will find a chart of the Status of all Prince George's County specific bills assigned to a committee of the General Assembly.  Some bills may have companion bills in both houses.
      These bills cover a wide variety of issues and persons who may be interest may want to review and address them in categories possibly with others in your network.
      I would suggest to those who may be interested in those bills that may include state aid for specific purposes to take a close look at those bills that if pass would allow public taxpayer funds to be used for private, membership only and/or exclusive uses that may not have a public use or be accessible to the general public, especially if you find that similar public agency services or facilities found lacking adequate, equitable funds could benefit in a manner that benefits the public.
      Also, anyone who has an interest in any of the bills should review the entire bill text to get a better understanding of its contents and intent.  If available, also review the fiscal note, that often gives a better, layman brief of the contents and impacts of the bill.
      You may do so, but copying the bill number on the attached chart, and paste it in the Find Legislation: By Number Box at: http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frm1st.aspx?tab=home
      If you or your group wants to make further inquiries on a bill, I suggest contacting the bill sponsor or your state senator or delegates as applicable.  You can find contact information for them at: http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmmain.aspx?pid=legisrpage&tab=subject6
      or you can find a list with contact information for the entire Prince George's State Delegation at;
      Please note that if you decide to take any action, it goes to the committee members that are hearing the bill. You can find their contact information, but going to: http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmcommittees.aspx?pid=commpage&tab=subject7
      and clicking on the committee name.
