One of the MOST difficult things to deal with is Spell Casting. That's one of those areas that needs
a good review and to see how we can bring it up to an easier to handle standard as it's not easy to
grant a Spell List without prior knowledge of the spells, nor can you disable the casting ability
with any ease.
Sadly, I'm afraid you'll need to do something a bit more drastic in order to have a non-casting
paladin. Anything I'd come up with would be about as much work as just coding a new class.
I would suggest putting up a feature request for what you ask, as that's a code issue.
