- Jul 2, 2009This is, believe it or not, a real message.
The Council has revamped its website, added a weblog, and now uses Democracy in Action, an advocacy webtool, to send alerts and news. I invite you to check out our website at www.pachurchesadvocacy.org, and you can connect with our weblog via the button labeled "Weblog-NEWS" on the left.
I also invite you to sign up for web alerts at http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5415/t/5044/signUp.jsp?key=794, or join our Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=39350713796.
I have just posted our latest News and Action Summary at http://pachurchesadvocacy.org/weblog/?p=925 and I invite you to see the vast array of actions, events, news posts, and resources available in these summaries, and there are links embedded to help you take action.
Hoping that you will consider joining us, and if you like what you see, inviting your friends to do so as well!
One more thing--your help on the following would be much appreciated as well:
Support a Commission of Inquiry to Put an End to Torture:
http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5415/t/5044/petition.jsp?petition_KEY=365. A letter will be sent to Senator Specter urging his support.
Sign On in Support of a Faith Inspired Vision of Health Care: http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5415/t/5044/petition.jsp?petition_KEY=302 (use http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/5415/t/5044/petition.jsp?petition_KEY=297 if you can sign on as an organization). A copy with signatures so far has already been delivered to Congress, but collection of signatures continues. Please help!
Blessings and best wishes for a safe and happy Independence Day weekend!
