FW: places to get court dance steps
I am forwarding this from Lady Beibhinn, who teaches every Monday either court dancing or middle eastern dancing at the College of Blaiddwyn (UNM), in Albuquerque. She will also be teaching three hours of court dancing at al-Barran's A&S Collegium, Saturday 11/21. Thank you Beibhinn for these wonderful resources.

Subject: [blaiddwyn] places to get dance steps
It was requested that I post which sites I know of that one can go and get some of the steps to dances. I have placed a couple that I know of below:
This one has my laurels info of dances that she has translated and written out for use
Some more dance sites I have used with varying levels of accuracy and clarity on steps:
A couple of the others I have are not working. If you really want to know dance then the site below shows you some of the books that are best for the dances you are interested in:
most dance people get the books and then create their own translations which is why there is debate and difference in some of the finer points of the dances and steps. I am presently in the process of doing this and using the information to improve my own dance. I hope this helps as right now with all I have on my plate I am not up to re doing these dances for our web page but will put that on the things to do list for this next year.
