IDEA WEEKLY UPDATE – PART 2 OF THE PRIMER
Please join us this week for the second installment of the OCLB Special Education Primer. “IEPs – Part 2” appears on our Home page this week. While last week’s installment dealt with the IEP development process, this one deals with the IEP document itself. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts about this issue!
Also, don’t forget that we’ve started several interactive threads on our public Message Board! Please feel free to post your thoughts for others to read – the more people thinking about these issues, the better!
Speaking of our Message Board, we have a couple of new postings this week. We have a call for input from New York parents regarding several IEP development problems that parents in that state are apparently facing. And, tying into Part 1 of our Primer, we have some background and history of short-term objectives, courtesy of Dee Alpert, publisher of The Special Education Muckraker (www.specialeducationmuckraker.com).
Enjoy the Labor Day weekend – see you back here after the holiday!
