Fwd: New APRAIS Advocacy Tool Kit Available
Please find attached a new advocacy tool kit for APRAIS partner organizations to disseminate to the field. As you will see, the tool kit provides the following resources for advocates:
The tool kit will be added to the APRAIS website shortly and will also be released at the annual TASH conference this week.Please disseminate widely and share with your advocates.
- a brief policy overview (including legislative history) of our federal efforts to eliminate the use of restraint and seclusion in schools;
- a Call to Action which describes ways that advocates can help us elevate Congressional awareness on this issue; and
- a variety of advocacy tools, including call scripts, letters templates for email correspondence, and several web-based resources.
