      Hisporto, the first Spanish language Orthodox Christian Internet Forum,
      celebrated eight years of service and outreach on this past June 23, 2008.
      Hisporto has more than 220 members from around the world - Orthodox Clergy, laity,
      missionaries and inquirers. For many of Hisporto's members, Spanish is their
      first language.

      About Hisporto: Hisporto was created on Jun 23, 2000, Hisporto has members
      from throughout North, Central and South America and Europe. Hisporto is a
      Pan-Orthodox Christian forum for Orthodox clergy, laity, missionaries and
      inquirers that speak Spanish, as well as for those who serve in Spanish-speaking
      communities. The purpose of Hisporto is many-fold. Its intent is to be a
      forum dedicated to the creation of networking, fellowship and mutual support
      opportunities for those who serve in or who originate from Spanish speaking
      communities throughout the world. It was also created to help advocate
      Spanish-language resources and outreach throughout the Orthodox Christian world. You
      are invited to join us on Hisporto and to share this resource with others who
      you feel might benefit from participation in this Spanish-language Forum.
      About the Moderator: Father Antonio Perdomo is the Founder and Moderator of
      Hisporto Internet forum. Fr. Antonio was born in the Dominican Republic,
      with Spanish as his first language. Although he grew up primarily in the United
      States, Fr. Perdomo has also lived, studied and worked in Mexico and Puerto
      Rico, as well as serving in churches and bi-lingual programs in Georgia, New
      Mexico and Texas. For the past three and a half years, Fr. Antonio has been
      the Pastor of St. George's Orthodox Church, Orthodox Church in America, in
      Pharr, Texas. Pharr is located in the South Texas County of Hidalgo, which
      borders the Rio Grande and Mexico in what is called, "The Rio Grande Valley." St.
      George's is a diverse Parish with people from many national and ethnic
      backgrounds, including those of various backgrounds but who also speak Spanish.

      Sobre Hisporto: Fue creado el 23 de junio del 2000, Hisporto tiene miembros
      a través Pan América y Europa. Hisporto es un foro cristiano Pan Ortodoxo
      para el clero, los laicos, los misioneros e inquiridores ortodoxos que hablan
      español, así como para los que sirven en comunidades que hablan español. El
      propósito de Hisporto tiene varios sentidos. Su intento es ser un foro dedicado
      a la creación y establecimiento del intercambio, de confraternidad y apoyo
      mutuo de ayuda para los que sirven adentro o que originan de comunidades que
      hablan español a través del mundo. También fue creado para ayudar a abogar
      recursos en español y alcanzar a través del mundo cristiano ortodoxo. Los
      invitamos a participar en Hisporto y a compartir este recurso con otros que ustedes
      piensen que beneficien de la participación en este foro dedicado a lo
      ortodoxo en español.
      Sobre el Moderador: El Padre Antonio Perdomo es el fundador y moderador del
      foro de la Red Mundial de Hisporto. El Padre Antonio nació en la República
      Dominicana, con el español como su primera lengua. Aunque él fue criado
      mayormente en los Estados Unidos, el Padre Perdomo también ha vivido, estudiado y
      trabajado en México y Puerto Rico. El también ha servido en iglesias y
      programas bilingües en los estados de Georgia, Nuevo México y Tejas. Por los últimos
      tres años y medio, el Padre Antonio sirve como Pastor de la iglesia ortodoxa
      de San Jorge, iglesia ortodoxa en América, en Pharr, Tejas. Pharr está
      situado en el condado de hidalgo al sur de Tejas, en la frontera con el Río Grande
