      Meeting with the Representative of the World Russian Peoples Council to the United Nations
      On Thursday, May 31, 2007, Archimandrite Zacchaeus, Representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchate met with Archpriest Alexander Abramov, the Secretary of the Representation of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA and Representative of the World Russian Peoples Council to the United Nations.

      During the course of their working breakfast, which was conducted in a spirit of mutual understanding and brotherly love, the two priests discussed a wide range of topics, including the recent reunification between the Russian Church Abroad and the Russian Orthodox Church Moscow Patriarchate and its impact on Orthodox Unity in the United States . In addition, ways for future cooperation between the New York Representation of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church in America were discussed.

      Archpriest Alexander Abramov was visiting Moscow in conjunction with the celebration of reunification between ROCOR and the Moscow Patriarchate, and departed for New York following his meeting with Archimandrite Zacchaeus.
