Orthodox church to be consecrated at Russia's geographical center

Krasnoyarsk, September 7, Interfax - Archbishop Antony of Krasnoyarsk and
Yeniseisk is to consecrated churches at Russia's geographical center and at
      the Tura village in Evenkia.

On Friday, September 8, the archbishop will consecrated a new church of the
Holy Trinity at Tura. It was in the old building of the church that Father
Grigory Yakovlev, the first rector of the church, suffered martyrdom at the
      hands of a religious fanatic.

The consecration of a new chapel dedicated to St. Sergius of Radonezh at
Russia's geographical center on Vivy Lake will take place on September 9.
The chapel is 11 meters tall, its cupola made especially for it in Krasnoyarsk.

When it was established in summer 1992 that the geographical center of
Russia is located on Vivy Lake in Evenkia, a mark and a large eight-ends
cross were erected there, the official website of the Krasnoyarsk diocese
      has reported.
