      Lenten Retreat (Apr 8)

All Are Invited to a One-Day Lenten Retreat at St Vladimir's Seminary

His Grace, Bishop Benjami nSt Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary
invites all to a one-day Lenten retreat on Saturday, April 8, 2006. This
day promises to be time out of the ordinary day-to-day routine and an
      opportunity for spiritual growth.

His Grace Bishop Benjamin (SVS '81), Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of the
West of the Orthodox Church in America, is the featured speaker for the
theme, "Perfection and Imperfection". His Grace will be reflecting on our
Lenten effort toward perfection, the reality of our imperfection and the
importance of letting the Holy Spirit complete what is lacking in us.

The day begins with Divine Liturgy at 9:00 am in the Three Hierarchs Chapel
on St Vladimir's Seminary campus at 575 Scarsdale Rd, Crestwood, New York.
His Grace will preside at the Liturgy and ordain 2nd year MDiv student,
Caleb Abetti, to the Holy Diaconate. There is an optional brunch for
participants at a cost of $10.00. The first presentation begins at 12:30
pm, followed by the Sixth Hour of prayer, a snack, the second presentation
and the day concludes with prayer at 4:00 pm. SVS Press books, music, and
icons will be for sale during the day and participants are welcome to
return for the Vigil service at 6:30 pm.

There is no registration fee for the event, although there will be an
opportunity for a free-will offering and pre-registration is required. To
register, send an e-mail to events@... with "2006 Lenten Retreat" in
