Crvenkovski Asks Support From Romanian Orthodox Church For Solving MPC, SPC
President Branko Crvenkovski asked Tuesday the Romanian Patriarch
Teoktist to support the position - the dispute between Macedonian and
Serbian Orthodox Church to be solved through dialogue and direct
communication between both churches, MIA's correspondent reports from
During the meeting with HH Teoktist, President Crvenkovski said that
Macedonia as a state would not interfere in the solving of this issue but
it would help if it was necessary.
"The solving for this problem could not be searched in creation of parallel
churches," Crvenkovski said.
According to HH Teoktist, the problem with parallel churches in Macedonia
was instantly solved, adding that the politics allowed and encouraged that.
This is not the only case in the Orthodoxy, Romanian Patriarch said,
emphasizing the example of Orthodox churches in Ukraine and Bulgaria.
