      Leader of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia retired

      The Archbishop of Prague, Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, Krystof submitted his resignation
       
       PRAGUE. On April 12, 2013 the Moscow Patriarchate received an official communication on the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
       
       It is reported that at the meeting, His Beatitude Archbishop of Prague, Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, Krystof filed a petition for removal from office. The request was granted.

      His Beatitude's title will be  Honorary Archbishop of Prague and Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, and his place of residence was given as the monastery of the Transfiguration in Teschow.
       
      Chosen as Locum Tenens of the leader's throne was Archbishop Simeon of Olomoucand Brno, the oldest Archbishop in the Orthodox Church in the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
