      Greek monastery's electricity cut off because of debt

      ATHENS. The Greek church news agency "Romfeya" reported that the practice of practice of cutting off electicity to debtors, was applied on March 13 to one of the famous Cretan monasteries, Epanosifi (consecrated in the name of St. George the Victorious); its the debt was about 23 thousand euros.
       
       According to the monks, the electricity was cut off without warning. The Archdiocese of Crete, local  deputies and ordinary believers are trying to defuse the situation.
