During the conversation Patriarch Kirill noted that Mtropolitan Vladimir "returns to full duties of the leader" of the UOC MP. Earlier, during the celebration of his enthronement anniversary. Kirill called Vladimir and made it clear that he supports a group of pro-Moscow UOC MP metropolitans, led by Agafangel of Odessa.
In turn, Metropolitan Vladimir extended Paschal and Victory Day greetings to the leader of the ROC and also spoke of the life of the UOC MP.
At the conclusion of their conversation, Kirill wished success in his future service, noting that "You, as a peacemaker, are needed by our church as never before."
On May 8, for the first time since his illness, the UOC MP Synod meeting was chaired by Metropolitan Vladimir; a number of decisions made by the Synod during his absence were cancelled, and there were significant personnel changes.
