      in the Holy Land

Source: A. Holodyuk - especially for

JERUSALEM. The number of Christians in the
Holy Land in 2010 increased by 0.9% - these are the statistics published by the
January 2 Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, reports the KIPA agency.
      In
2010, the country had a population of 154 thousand Christians, that is 2% of the
      total population of Israel. Most
of the Christians (80.4%) are Arabs.
      The average birth
rate among Christians - is one of the lowest in comparison with other religious
groups. The average Christian woman raises two children (a
Muslim woman - 4 or 3, an Israeli - 3). According to statistics, the average
age of marriage for Christian men is 29.
