ISTANBUL. The Greek media's recent joy about resolving
the problem of the Constantinople Patriarchate's confiscated property was
marred by Ahmet Davutoglu, Turkey's Minister for Foreign Affairs, notes
      romfea.

      On August 28
the Turkish government issued a decree about the return to the nation's minorities of real estate
owned by religious institutions, which was taken away in 1936 and formally
expropriated in 1975.  According to this decree, 162 objects belonging to national
minorities should be returned to former owners within 12 months . Moreover, objects sold
to third parties, should be refunded their market value.

However, in return the Turkish government expects the return of property to
Turkish religious institutions in the Balkans, firstly in Greece,
      A. Davutoglu stated to the newspaper "Vatan".
