      Space station crew congratulates Patriarch Kirill on enthronement

      Moscow, February 5, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill
      of Moscow and All Russia talked to the crew of
      the International Space Station during the direct communication on Thursday.

      Flight engineer Yury Lonchakov, Russian member of
      Expedition 18, congratulated His Holiness on
      elevation to the Moscow Patriarchal See and
      wished him God’s help in his primatial ministry,
      the Russian Church official website has reported.

      Almost a month ago, Patriarch Kirill, then the
      Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal See,
      congratulated the spacemen on Christmas. After
      greeting Lonchakov, he also talked in English to
      American members of the expedition – astronauts Michael Fink and Sandra Magnus.
