      Award-Winning Children's Folk Group from Russia to Perform at Rahway Church

      The internationally renowned Russian children's
      folk group "Golden Gates" from St. Petersburg,
      Russia, will be visiting St. John the Baptist
      Russian Orthodox Church, in Rahway on Friday,
      February 13, 2009. This performing group
      originated in 1993 from the Author's Aesthetic
      Music Secondary School and continues to perform
      Traditional Folk songs, dance and stories. The
      group consists of children ranging from the ages
      of 7 to 16 years. At 7:00pm, the "Golden Gates"
      will perform a concert in full Traditional
      Russian Folk Dress complete with balalaikas,
      accordion, humorous dances, and superb vocals
      making for an exhilarating and educational
      performance for audiences of all ages.

      The Concert is free and open to the public. A
      good will offering will be taken to help support
      the "Golden Gates" and their performance. Read
