      The basilica had been destroyed by an earthquake in 740
       
      ISTANBUL. On Jan. 27 Turkish state television reported that with the help of aerial-photograpy, archaeologists were able to discover the ruins of a IV century Basilica in a lake near the town of Iznik (ancient Nicaea), just 20 meters from the shore.  The Basilica had been destroyed by an earthquake in 740,  stated the KNA news agency.
       
       KNA agency reports that, in the coming years , an underwater museum will be created in the coming years on the site in Lake Iznik where the Basilica was found.
