Ilia II says he is certain Russian-Georgian relations will improve

Tbilisi, January 24, Interfax – Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II of All
Georgia believes that Russia and Georgia will prove wise enough to
correct previous mistakes and rebuild fraternal relations.

"There is no fault of either Russia or Georgia, let alone Abkhazia and
South Ossetia, in what happened. It happened through the fault of
individual persons. Love between Georgia and Russia will exist
eternally," Ilia II said during a visit to renowned sculptor Zurab
      Tsereteli's workshop in Moscow.

Georgia and Russia "need to meet each other halfway" if they want to
normalize their relations, former Russian Prime Minister Academician
      Yevgeny Primakov said.
