Latest issue of Ladybug
The latest issue of the Ladybug is now available.
Although Maria Fotopoulos, who edits and publishes the Ladybug, says that it is intended for children and youth, I think that we can all benefit from this publication.
This issue has excellent articles on the Triodion, Prayer and the Feast of the Finding of the Honoured Head of Saint John the Baptist. Metropolitan Ephraim has an article Ask Despota which should be read by all. The Metropolitan is able in just a few paragraphs to answer questions that are significant for young and old. Stephanie Vasiliou, a counsellor at Saint Xenia’s Summer Camp, contributes an article on last years camping season. Her article should make all of us thank God that our Synod has such a facility that can offer our children a valuable spiritual experience. The Poetry Corner offers some amazing thoughts. In particular, the poem, This Lil’ Place, that describes the author’s thoughts on the Divine Liturgy, is something we should all ponder so that we can come to a better understanding of why we are at the divine Liturgy.
Parents, who want to teach their children about the Faith, will find the Ladybug an invaluable aid and at the same time be edified by its contents.
We thank Fr. Seraphim, Maria Fotopoulos and the parish of Saint Cosmas for their efforts. Please send your subscription, $25 U.S. and $30 Canadian, to: Ladybug, 11812 Randy Lane , Laurel , MD 20708 USA .
