Yesterday,  January 19/February 1, Feast of Saint Makarios the Great,  the clergy and faithful of the Parishes of St. Nektarios, Panagia and St. Joseph as well as Mother Nektaria and the mothers of the Convent of the Falling Asleep of the Theotokos, gathered together at the St. Nektarios Cathedral  to celebrate the Feasts of Saint Makarios and Saint Mark of Ephesus and also to clebrate the Name's Day of His Eminence, Metropolitan Makarios of Toronto.

The Metropolitan celebrated the Divine Liturgy assisted by the Toronto clergy as seen in the attached photo.   Fr. Alexander Dizes and Fr. Sergius Pellegrini are to the right of Metropolitan Makarios, Fr. Panagiotes Carras, Fr. George Turpa and Fr. David Belden are to his left.

After Divine Liturgy there was a reception for the Metropolitan in the Church hall.  The hall was filled to capacity with parishioners but the Sisterhood of the Saint Nektarios Parish made sure that there were more than enough refreshments .

There are two photos attached to this email.  If you have difficulties in opening these files then click on  http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/OrthodoxInfo/photos
