Some Continuing Orange County Wintering Birds
- The Hooded Warbler at Irvine Regional Park was seen this morning at 10
AM, near the bathroom just west of parking lot 9, after only 3 hours
of searching on only my 4th attempt to see the bird.
The Magnolia Warbler at Laguna Niguel Regional Park was seen at 1 PM
in the live oaks behind the restroom at the south end of the park near
the amphitheater. After only 2 hours of searching, the bird just flew
in from somewhere, and was cooperative for a while.
While searching, a Mountain Chickadee was seen in the same trees.
The Hermit Warbler in pines, at the base of the hill near Shelter 12,
was found at 1:15 in 5 minutes.
The Yellow Warbler in willows at the south inlet to the lake was seen
while walking past it.
