      Hi All,

I spent a pleasant hour this morning from 06:30 to 07:30 observing the continuing Lesser Sand Plover at Harriett Wieder Park. Early on the bird was about as close as possible. It later flew a bit to the northeast and got further away. A scope or telephoto lens was definitely necessary in either location.

I scoped from two sites to get a better look at the bird when it moved further away. Here are the relevant Google Earth coordinates:

      First Viewing:
Scope Site: Lat 33.684583; Lon -118.024537
Bird Site: Lat 33.685339; Lon -118.025264

      Second Viewing:
Scope Site: Lat 33.684886; Lon -118.024170
Bird Site: Lat 33.686405; Lon -118.024398

The bird was still at the second site when I left at 07:30.
