      This morning at the end of the boardwalk at high tide there were 8-10 Clapper Rails, 1 Sora, 1 Short-eared Owl, 1 American Bittern and one Great Blue Heron with what appeared to be a struggling Virginia Rail in its beak Don't know if the heron ever swallowed the rail or dropped it before it {the heron} flew off.
