The Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center will be releasing mallards at
Burris Pit on Wednesday, July 12th about 10am. We are meeting at
the wildlife center around 8:30am to box up as many mallards as we
can fit into our vehicles. If you would like to come along, you
may. Burris Pit is a wonderful birding place with many different
species to see. We won't be able to stay in there too long, but I
thought some of you might want to get the opportunity to bird an
area that is normally off limits.
Burris Pit directions: 57 Fwy to Ball Road, go West to Sunkist and
turn right, turn left on Wagner (signal), Wagner dead ends and forces
you to turn right onto Rio Vista. There is a chain link fence with a
gate on the right for you to enter.
Let me know if you are interested in going.
