Ouray Engine House and details now shipping
- The O-scale Ouray Engine House is now shipping. This is a LARGE
structure (9 1/4 x 17 inch footprint) with a lot of features, including
all the interior framing and even the diagonal sheathing. Each wall is
made up of four peel-and-stick layers. The interior studs are
individually cut by the laser and fit into marked slots in the top and
bottom plates, making construction easy -- no measuring or cutting of
stripwood. You have a choice of two roof versions to build, plus a
multitude of door and hinge configurations to choose from. The door
openings measure 3 (wide) x 3 3/4-inches (high), so K27s (and most
K28s!) will fit. The removable roof is sheeted with corrugated metal,
as it was at one time on the prototype. All this builds up into a great
display model -- one you will be proud to own.
To dress up the kit, we now offer an Engine House Detail Set. This is a
collection of 66 great details from 5 different manufacturers: Berkshire
Valley, Selley, Wiseman Model Services, DesignTech, and ourselves.
Included are work benches, shelves, an air compressor, lockers, sheaves,
drums, a great acetylene torch set, ladders, coal bin, pot-bellied
stoves, and a lot more. A complete listing is on the website.
The Engine House sells for $210, while the detail set is $79. Both ship
free to the US.
I hope you stop by the website for photos and more information.
