The Trainer course is a vital component of the nationwide Leave No Trace program. The participants received training in LNT skills and ethics in a two-day format. The Trainer course assists the participants in learning more about the seven principles of Leave No Trace and techniques for disseminating these low impact skills.
The graduates of the Trainer course gained the skills to teach LNT techniques and ethics to their units, camps, schools, parks, wilderness, and front country areas. These trainers are also a valuable resource for learning more about the BSA Outdoor Ethics Award Program. This course provided participants with hands on experience in teaching Leave No Trace Skills and Ethics. Each participant in the class will teach one LNT principle at the Trainer course, as assigned and notified by the Course Director. Email Dave Lauthers upon registering.
