      Unit leaders,
Please RSVP your unit Scouters attendance at the District Awards Dinner at the following link ASAP: http://www.boyscouts-ncac.org/event/1295907 . Chanel Marquis is trying to bring this event together, but unfortunately has not had the support of the individual who put on the event last year. As such she is finding it difficult to plan the dinner absent RSVPs as to who is going to attend. She doesn't even have an estimate from the previous year from which to asjust. If, for example, you are a Committee Chair and know that your designated award recipients are not able to come and you know who may be coming on their behalf please let Chanel know directly at awlk2rmberva@... or call 703-407-4463 indicating that no one from your unit is coming, or RSVP via the link above as the representative for an award recipient. Please indicate your preference for sausage stuffed manicotti, lasagna, or vegetable lasagna (vegetarian meal) in the RSVP.

Boy Scout unit leaders: This event has been traditionally supported by the Order of the Arrow. Absent any turnover information, Chanel has had some challenges in getting to the right people in the Order of the Arrow for spreading the word on OA service solicitation in a timely fashion. These things happen. A solicitation for Arrowmen to assist this event will be forthcoming soon via the OA website, but in advance of that it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass on in as timely a manner as possible the need for Arrowmen to assist in this event. Chanel is in need of 15 Arrowmen who can arrive at 1:30 at Lake Ridge Baptist Church and stay until conclusion/clean up of the event. Duties will involve hors d'ouvre preparation, kitchen assistance (Chanel will have the main course already prepped) dining room set up, table service, and other as yet unknown duties. A free meal for all OA volunteers will be provided and a chance to listen to and meet our USMC Silver Star Medal awardee guest speaker. It would be best if any OA member volunteering to serve contact Chanel directly; awlk2rmberva@... or call 703-407-4463.
Your message has been successfully submitted and would be delivered to recipients shortly.
