Cost $13.00/person - space available for 100 Scouts and Scouters
Theme: Pioneer Cooking back to basics
Awards for best:
Pioneer Kitchen No Coleman, REI, etc. kitchens. Pioneer cooking is completed over a campfire or charcoal ground fire, hole in ground, cooking platform, wood platform, etc. No modern day fuels for the Pioneer Kitchen.
Best Saturday night dinner cooking with the Pioneer Kitchen. The dinner to be considered for the competition, must contain a meat product, potato/starch product and vegetable served separately or as a single dish.
All other meals can be cooked with Troop stoves.
Registration is online and will be open March 11, 2013 and close April 8, 2013 with all forms to be completed and returned to Mark.Chipman@....

Friday April 12
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm sign into camp.
8:30 pm - 9:30 pm Cracker Barrel - SM and SPL
Saturday April 13
7:00 am - 1:00 pm Troop time to create the Pioneer Kitchen
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Evaluation of pioneer kitchens by District Staff
2:00 pm - 4:30 pm Troop cook the pioneer dinner.
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm Evaluation of fantastic meals by District Staff
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Campfire. Each Troop is to have a skit or song. Skits no more than 2 min. Prefer songs, they go faster, are louder and more people can participate. Whatever you choose, bring it to the Cracker Barrel so we are not duplicating skits or songs.
9:00 pm - 9:15 pm Interfaith service & TAPS. A Scout is Reverent.
10:00 pm Quiet time, lights out per Troop SM/SPL
Sunday April 14
7:00 am - 12:00 pm Troop breakfast, pack up, clean the area better than you found it. Check out. Head home.
