There is another opportunity to help complete the local "dog park" this weekend.  Any available participants should arrive at 9:00 a.m. this Saturday.

The group accomplished a lot last weekend, but they need to complete the trenching between the fence posts so they can lay the fence on Monday morning.

Further background info: the Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association and the Prince William County Park Authority gained approval for the creation of a fenced-in dog park on Minnieville Road.  The "PWC Dogs" association will plan to clear the fallen trees, undergrowth, and brush from the area on Jan. 26.  In particular, the group has to clear the perimeter area for the fence line, and also remove a thicket of growth in the middle of the area.

Here is a diagram of the specific location and the site plan: http://www.pwcdogs.com/Site_Plan_Of_Dog_Park.html

Scouts and adults who can participate should wear working gloves and boots, and bring any available rakes, shovels, and hand tools.

The "PWC Dogs" group is nearing the end of their project to create a dog park in the Lake Ridge area.  They appreciate the help from volunteers who have come out for the past 2 weekends.

This weekend, they need to fill in the trenches along the fence line.  Any available participants should arrive at 9:00 a.m. this Saturday, and bring shovels.
