Trailblazer, Beltloops and Badges, oh MY!
Please let the Girl Scouts in your area know as well!
Try-its, IPs and BADGES? Oh My!
During this years Stafford County Hartwood Days Festival 8 SEP 12, GIRL, Cub, and Boy Scouts have the opportunity to work on some very unique Belt Loops/Pins Merit badges, Brownie Try-Its, Junior Badges, and Cadette/Senior IP's during the annual Badge Day Workshops! ! ! We've tried to find some badges that most folks don't have. . . kinda off the beaten path so to speak. These are some unique badges that will be fun and a great addition to your collection, or progression towards rank! Individual scouts as well as Troops are welcome to register until class seats are full.
The best part. . . while scouts earn their badge, the adults can enjoy the Festival's Events. And when the Scouts are finished their badgework THEY can also enjoy all of the games and booths that will be at the Festival!!
We are still working on offering some badges & pins, so check back often. Pre-registration will be required and class sizes will be limited to the # of scouts displayed on the website. Online registration is open!!!
There may be the possibility of same day Registration in cases of cancellations, but Pre-Registration will make sure that you have a seat in the badge you want!
HELP THE JOIN SCOUTING EFFORT!
ALSO during the event, ALL youth (not just scouts) have the opportunity to have lots of fun while learning about outdoor activities during the Trailblazer® Adventure Program. REGARDLESS OF YOUR Council or District, Have your Cub, Boy & Girl Scouts bring their Friends out to this FREE event, where they can discover or learn about outdoor activities, like shooting a Bow and Arrow, marksmanship, Leave No Trace, Trapping, Conservation, Boating, Fishing, and lots more! Kids can even earn a FREE Patch if they visit all of the stations! Best of all its FREE!! Held during the Stafford County Hartwood Days Festival, off of Rt 17 in Stafford Co., have all of your scouts bring a friend (or 2) and get them interested, and when they pick up their free patch, they can fill out interest information, or go ahead and fill out a registration form on the spot!! Registration and interest information will be forwarded to the servicing District for the zip code that information is filled out for .of course if your scout is standing right there with his buddy, remind them to get credit for recruiting him!Details and Directions are available at www.hartwooddays.org
