I get Jay going west as am closer [west of him about 250-300 miles].  He has me going east into Europe/UK.  He is also closer to the ocean while I am inland and farther west.  On 500 I have a big amp [3CX3000A7] I got him east and west if I crank it up.  That be an 1150 cfm 4 barrel.
It makes the biggest difference I think on 137.

Well from the Op s/n reports from wu9q , your Ae must be round 6 dB up if jay was running 1K and you had 200 W with similar levels ? should make it over on 200w , just needs the right condx

Will take a look later , but noise is the big problem at this qth for rx but quite a few good monitors showing at the moment..

Jay runs a KW to 95 ft top loaded vert-he has a super ant and a class D kw amp take a look at his stuff W1VD.COM I built an old school amp-pair of "valves" as you limeies call 'em GG 3-500's for a KW for 137.

R Bob , well you never know , odd band , since Op32 has been running , you can see big variations in distance , the Russians regularly put in some good distances over land , there is a group in JA that's been running a year , they don't allays decode either.

If no go , what's next carrillo rods and 50 th off the heads ?

Blow out the small block and shoe-horn in a 650 ci big block on methanol.  Can always "tip the bottle" after that with 30% nitro blend to start and go from there...

R Bob , well you never know , odd band , since Op32 has been running , you can see big variations in distance , the Russians regularly put in some good distances over land , there is a group in JA that's been running a year , they don't allays decode either.

If no go , what's next carrillo rods and 50 th off the heads ?

On 500 I have a big amp [3CX3000A7] I got him east and west if I crank it up. That be an 1150 cfm 4 barrel.
