People doing strange things with Electricity!
Where: Artengine M70 Lab

Dorkbot is an informal gathering of artists and
electronics enthusiastsinterested in sharing ideas on
works in progress or experimentalprototypes. Artengine
is pleased to host a new chapter here in Ottawa,so
come out and share your love for all things
Dorkbot meetings will be taking place on the first
Tuesday of everymonth in the new Artengine M70 Lab.
Dorkbot is open to everyone.
Sebastien Baillard is a member for of the RepRap
Project and will bepresenting info about the concept
and state of the project. RepRap isshort for
Replicating Rapid-prototyper. The project is an
initiativeaimed at creating a largely self-replicating
machine which can be usedfor rapid prototyping and
manufacturing. A rapid prototyper is a 3Dprinter that
is able to fabricate three dimensional artifacts from
Also building xoscope circuits!
Xoscope circuits are a buffer+amplifier circuits which
will enable youto use your computer's sound card as an
oscilloscope. (An oscilloscopeis a tool that
measures, records, and graphs the voltage in
anelectrical circuit.) This circuit may be helpful as
a buffer/amplifierfor circuit bending as well.

In the months to come:
