Re: [ORE_bits] Shaft adapter
- Hi Laz,
No problem. Is Aluminum OK? Other options would be brass or steel, but I
would prefer not to do it in steel at this time.
Do you need to be more precise with your dimensions? It would be best if you
measured your shaft with a micrometer or calipers. I can probably get to
within +/- 0.003 inches at this time.
Also, I assume you need at least 2, maybe 4?

Subject: [ORE_bits] Shaft adapter
I heard that you are the proud daddy of a new 600lb milling machine.
Well maybe I'm asking too much and I'm not sure if the machine is ready for
but I need a favor.
I have a gear that I would like to fit to a shaft of a smaller size but to
do that I need a shaft adapter.
I wonder if you could kindly help me out by making one for our group.
What I need is an adapter tube with an outside diameter of 8mm and an inside
diameter of 1/4" and 1/2" long
If you have any questions please call me
What's your phone number again Guy?
