100,000 Poets, Artists and Musicians for Change at Unity Temple
The Social Mission Committee of Unity Temple hosts “100,000 Poets, Musicians and Artists for Change”, a benefit for local groups working for peace and social justice, on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Unity Temple, 875 W. Lake Street, Oak Park.
Performers will include: poet, Gregorio Gomez; solo theatrical performer, Tekki Lomnicki; folk singer, Anna Stange; African drumming, Atiba Jali; blues/roots/rock by guitarist/vocalist, Jack Rossiter-Munley And photography exhibits by Henry Berry and Michael Bracey on display.
Show begins at 7:30 p.m. -- doors open at 7 pm. $10 tickets at brownpapertickets.com or at the door. Refreshments will be on sale. The program is in coordination with the international 100K Poets For Change.
