      Rally For Peace
End the War - End the Occupation - Bring the Troops Home!

      Come to Scoville Park
on Saturday, March 19 at 3:30 pm
(Lake Street and Oak Park Avenue)

      WHY?
      * Because since March 19, 2003, 1,400 American troops have died, and
nearly 20,000 have been injured due to the U.S. invasion and
      occupation of Iraq.
      * Because anywhere from 15,000 to 100,000 Iraqis have died.
      * Because the Administration in Washington has set a 2.57 trillion
dollar budget with 427 billion dollars going to defense. Meanwhile up
to 350 billion dollars in domestic programs including Medicaid,
education, food stamps, housing and child care assistance will be cut
in addition to over 150 federal programs.
      * Because 1 out of 5 children in America, the richest nation on
      earth, now live in poverty.
      * Because the U.S. has one of the highest infant mortality rates in
      the industrialized world.
      * Because the wrong choice by this Administration to go to an unjust
war at the expense of millions and millions of people with its
devastating consequences is not just a bad idea, but sheer lunacy on
      the grandest scale.

On March 19, 2005 people around the world will be demonstrating,
protesting, attending vigils and taking many other actions to show
their support for changing our priorities from war and disparity to
      peace and prosperity.
Please join us so that we may raise our voices and spirits together
in these difficult times. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors.
