Hi Simon My "rebuilt Funkey" Vale of Ffestiniog weighs in at 524gm.  She has a BullAnt 8w drive chassis, runs superbly and is a good hauler. Hope this help

Simon, You are better off trying to keep the weight equal on both ends, that way the loco will behave equally, this means you need to have slightly more weight
