      In 1741, New Yorkers are gripped in fear in an alleged conspiracy, as Lower Manhattan is set ablaze in one of the most extraordinary events in American History. After an unprecedented trial, ultimately 35 people were hanged, while nearly 100 are banished from the province of New York.
