Subject: Join Muhammad Yunus & Grameen for their new documentary on microfinance in theaters Thursday
Net Impact Friends,
Grameen Research, one of Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus' nonprofit organizations in the United States, invites you to a one night only premiere of a new documentary, To Catch a Dollar, that will kick off the start of a nationwide movement to raise awareness of microfinance.
This Thursday, March 31st at 7:30 pm, To Catch a Dollar, a Sundance documentary following Muhammad Yunus and Grameen America, allows you into the lives of women entrepreneurs who use Grameen microloans to manage bootstrap businesses from below the poverty line. The film event will conclude with a panel response from Dr. Yunus and featured guests, moderated by financial expert and CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo. Special guests include financial powerhouse Suze Orman, President of Kiva.org Premal Shah, and actor Robert DeNiro. There will also be video appearances by Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, Russell Simmons, and many others. Purchase your tickets online.
If you're familiar with Grameen and microlending but want more information, or if you're hearing about it for the first time, you'll leave the theater with a better understanding of a new development in finance and ways to get more involved. Plus, this one-time event is an unprecedented opportunity to connect with members of your community who share your interests in socially responsible investing and finance.
